1 TBSP olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can crushed tomatoes (28 oz.)
1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz.)
2 TBSP fresh basil, minced
1/4 tsp. sugar
salt
1 box Ziti
2 cups mozzarella cheese, grated
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
Directions:
-Preheat oven to 400*
-Cook ziti in large pot of salted water until almost tender, reserve 1/4 cup of cooking water
-In a skillet over medium heat, cook the oil and garlic, stirring often for about 2 minutes
-Stir in the tomatoes with the juice, bring to a simmer and cook until thickened slightly; about 15 minutes
-Stir in basil, sugar, and 1/2 tsp. salt
-Mix together ziti and sauce mixture; add reserved cooking water to loosen sauce
-Spread 1/2 the ziti in an oiled 9x13 pan, sprinkle with 1/2 mozzarella and 1/2 parmesan
-Spread the remaining ziti in the dish and sprinkle with remaining cheese
-Bake uncovered for 20 minutes or until cheese is golden brown

Looks delicious! When do you add the meat??
The recipe doesn't call for meat, but I used Italian Sausage that I browned and added to the tomato mixture after the tomato mixture was done cooking.
